Social Housing Landlords
Working together to provide a better service
Our contacts within councils and housing associations vary depending on their organisational structure, processes and ‘who pays the heating bill’.
We work closely with directors and managers across all departments from strategy and finance, to housing management and sustainability. For clarity, on this page we have focussed on two areas:
Housing Management
Energy and Sustainability Management
Housing Management
Housing Managers are concerned for the welfare of their residents. Traditional night-time-only charging provides a poor heating experience, and there is evidence that the ‘too hot, too cold’ cycle contributes to poor health outcomes. Connected Response retrofit storage heating technology improves comfort, reduces costs, and can also transform resident health and general welfare.
Energy and Sustainability Managers
Energy and Sustainability Managers are looking to make buildings as energy efficient as possible, combat fuel poverty and, reduce carbon emissions. Connected Response retrofit storage heating technology replaces the rigidity of Economy 7 night-time charging with an intelligent charging regime. If the dwelling is already warm enough, the heaters won’t charge. This improves energy efficiency and reduces heating costs.
The flexibility of Connected Response retrofit technology means it can work with specialised time-of-use (TOU) type tariffs. It is able to align consumption with local and national renewable energy from, for example, wind farms. Where wind energy is surplus to grid requirements, this has the potential to generate considerable social and financial benefits
