In Kensal Green you will find Trellick Tower, the 217 flat development designed by Erno Goldfinger; an example of Brutalist architecture, much loved by many of its residents.

In September 2020, working with RBKC’s energy supplier, EDF, we supplied our smart-charging technology to upgrade the heating and hot water system. The heating and hot water were originally managed by Cyclocontrol, the London Electricity Board system installed in 1977; long before the phrase ‘smart grid’ was coined! The Connected Response team worked closely with RBKC to ensure tenants were kept informed on the system changes and the smooth operation of installs.

Like Westminster City Council, RBKC provide a Heat-with-Rent service to their residents, both tenants and leaseholders. The new Connected Response system has moved RBKC from night-charging only to split charging, ‘…just before they rise, mid-afternoon and, on cold days, in early evening’.
