HeatSage

Optimisation of electric storage heating and hot water

Connected Response’s retrofit storage heating technology is marketed as HeatSage.

HeatSage is a solution to intelligently and effectively manage electric storage and water heaters:

The HeatSage system consists of:

– A smart load control switch situated next to the resident’s smart meter

– A temperature and humidity sensor in the resident’s living room

– Building-level gateways to connect with HeatSage devices

– The Connected Response cloud-based server to manage the system

Collectively these elements enable existing storage heating to be charged in line with a resident’s heating preferences within the intelligent context of the current temperature in the living room and the next day’s local weather forecast.

There is no need to replace the existing functioning heaters. This avoids significant capital investment and the environmental and financial cost of consigning these heaters to landfill.

HeatSage enables heater charging to be dynamically aligned with both local and national renewable energy.
