Connected Response is delighted to announce it has joined NEA (National Energy Action) as a member of the Business Supporters Group. Connected Response and National Energy Action both share the same vision; to end fuel poverty.

Connected Response is a socially-driven organisation developing leading-edge retrofit technology that can help release the 1.5m households with electric storage heating and hot water from the shackles of fuel poverty.

HeatSage technology addresses fuel poverty and humidity levels

Connected Response’s retrofit HeatSage technology has already been installed in over 15,000 social housing properties across the United Kingdom, the majority of which are in multi-dwelling units, including tower blocks. On average HeatSage reduces tenants’ energy bills by around 30% at the same time as vastly improving their overall heating and hot water experience. HeatSage also measures humidity levels, helping social housing landlords to identify properties that may be at risk of damp.

HeatSage takes less than an hour to retrofit in a property. Using the following day’s local weather forecast, HeatSage is able to optimise the amount of charge needed by electric storage heaters across the off-peak charging windows afforded by a tenant’s energy tariff. For many social landlords, retrofitting HeatSage can extend the useful life of existing electric storage heaters avoiding the cost and environmental impact of unnecessary replacements.

The benefits of technology should be available to all not just the few

Like NEA, we believe fuel poverty is not inevitable. The benefits generated by leading-edge technology should be accessible to all, not just middle-class homes with electric vehicles, home batteries and solar panels. Not only does HeatSage significantly reduce energy bills, it also means social landlords and their tenants can benefit financially from electricity flexibility markets.
